Eighty-six people, including more than 60 Crimean Tatars, have been deprived of liberty because of political and religious persecution in the occupied Crimea.
"86 people are deprived of liberty within the framework of political or religious persecution in Crimea," the Crimean Human Rights Group posted on Facebook. The organization's experts published a complete list of those arrested, classifying them under 13 criminal cases. The “case of Crimean Tatars” (also known as “the case of Hizb ut-Tahrir") involves seven groups, including the Yalta group (6 people), the first Bakhchisaray group (4 people), the first Simferopol group (5 people), the second Bakhchisaray group (9 people), the second Simferopol group (24 people), the Krasnohvardiysk group (3 people) and Sevastopol group (4 people). 13 people are being prosecuted within the framework of "the cause of Ukrainian saboteurs", 3 people more – within “Sentsov case.” One more person is a defendant in the Muslim "Tablighi Jamaat case." Nine people are prosecuted as part of separate criminal cases. Three people are defendants in the case over involvement in the Noman Çelebicihan Battalion and two more people are prosecuted as participants in Maidan protests. Отправить в:      другие новости
