On May 1, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire 18 times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas, using the weapons banned under the Minsk agreements six times.
“The enemy used 120mm and 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms to shell the units of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports. In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces opened fire from 120mm and 82mm mortars on Ukrainian troops near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms – outside Novomykhailivka (28km south-west of Donetsk), Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk) and Mykolaivka (77km west of Luhansk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, and small arms – in the area of Novotroitske (36km south-west of Donetsk), Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk), Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk), Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol), Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk), Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol), Verkhniotoretske (22km north-east of Donetsk) and Shyrokyne (20km east of Mariupol); heavy machine guns, and small arms – near Hranitne (60km south of Donetsk), Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol) and Mykolaivka. In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, Ukrainian troops came under 82mm mortar, heavy machine gun and small arms fire outside Pivdenne (40km north-east of Donetsk); small arms fire – near Stanytsia Luhanska (16km north-east of Luhansk). Two servicemen of the Joint Forces were wounded in shelling. Ukrainian troops returned fire adequately. According to the intelligence, five invaders were annihilated and two more were wounded over the past day. Today, the enemy has already fired grenade launchers of different systems and heavy machine guns on Ukrainian positions near Marinka; hand-held antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – outside Lebedynske ; heavy machine guns – in the area of Pavlopol. No casualties among Ukrainian troops have been reported. The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire. Отправить в:      другие новости
