Russian-backed militants launched 53 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.
This is reported by the ATO press center - Ukrinform. "Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 53 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 31 times. As a result of the fighting, two Ukrainian soldiers were wounded, another one was injured as a result of explosion," the statement reads. The tensest situation was observed in Donetsk direction, where illegal armed formations used 82mm mortars and grenade launchers to fire at the defenders of Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk). Ukrainian positions outside Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk), Mayorske (45km north of Donetsk) and Kamyanka (62km south of Donetsk) came under grenade launcher fire. In addition, militants fired 120mm mortars at the outskirts of Troitske (69km west of Luhansk). In Luhansk direction, Russian-backed militants opened fire from 82mm mortars near Novotoshkivske (53km north-west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk). ATO troops also came under 120mm mortar fire near Krymske (42.5km north-west of Luhansk) and Popasna (90 km north-west of Luhansk). Terrorists also shelled Ukrainian strongholds outside Troitske (69km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) and Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), using grenade launchers. In Mariupol direction, illegal armed formations used 82mm mortar near Hnutove (19km north-west of Mariupol) and heavy machine gun near Starohnativka (52km south of Donetsk).
