On January 9, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in eastern Ukraine six times.
“The enemy used grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and other small arms to shell positions of the Joint Forces,” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports. In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, Russian-led forces used small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Pavlopil (25km north-west of Mariupol) and Krasnohorivka (21km west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – outside Nevelske (18km north-west of Donetsk); automatic grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk). In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired automatic grenade launchers and hand-held antitank grenade launchers on Ukrainian troops near Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk). Over the past day, One Ukrainian soldier was killed and four more were wounded in the enemy shelling. Today, the Russian-occupation troops have already opened fire from grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian positions in the area of Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk).
