10 of January 2020 г.
Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine Oleksiy Danilov has discussed the investigation into Iran plane crash with the ambassadors of Canada, the UK, and Sweden.

“Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Oleksiy Danilov held a meeting with Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Canada to Ukraine Larisa Galadza, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom to Ukraine Melinda Simmons and Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Ukraine Tobias Thyberg,” reads the statement of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

According to Danilov, the group of Ukrainian experts is actively working at the crash site. "We receive operational reports every hour. Our main task is to find out why this happened," the NSDC Secretary noted.

In turn, the ambassadors expressed their condolences and assured of their readiness to provide all necessary assistance to Ukraine during the investigation.

As reported, Ukraine International Airlines plane (Flight PS752) heading from Tehran to Kyiv crashed shortly after taking off from the Imam Khomeini International Airport at about 06:00 Tehran time (04:30 Kyiv time) on Wednesday, January 8.

There were 176 people on board - 167 passengers (including two Ukrainians) and nine crew members (all Ukrainians). There were 82 citizens of Iran, 63 citizens of Canada, ten citizens of Sweden, four citizens of Afghanistan, three citizens of Germany, and three citizens of the UK.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky says that the version of missile hitting UIA plane in Iran is not ruled out but has not been confirmed yet, urging the international partners to submit the relevant information to the commission of investigation into causes of the crash.
