Russian-led forces launch ten attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas

Russian-led forces launch ten attacks on Ukrainian troops in Donbas
19 of April 2019 г.
Despite the “Easter truce”, declared on a unilateral basis, the armed formations of the Russian Federation violated ceasefire ten times in the Joint Forces Operation (JFO) area in Donbas over the past day.

“The enemy used weapons banned under the Minsk agreements – 82mm mortars and tanks – twice. The invaders also fired grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms on the units of the Joint Forces,” the JFO Headquarters reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces opened fire from 82mm mortars, tank armament, automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems and small arms – outside Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns – in the area of Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol); mounted antitank grenade launchers and small arms – near Pisky (11km north-west of Donetsk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – outside Talakivka (17km north-east of Mariupol).

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, illegal armed formations used mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns to shell the Joint Forces units in the area of Svitlodarsk (57km north-east of Donetsk); small arms – near Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk).

One Ukrainian soldier was wounded in shelling. The Joint Forces returned fire adequately. According to the intelligence, three invaders were annihilated and five more were wounded on April 18.

Today, the enemy has already opened fire from 120mm mortars on Ukrainian troops near Pavlopol and from 82mm mortars – outside Pyshchevyk (25km north-east of Mariupol). No casualties among Ukrainian servicemen have been reported.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
