"We finally got out of the multi-vector labyrinths. We hardly leaped out of the deadly trap of non-alignment. Since 2014, we have been firmly following our own path, the path towards European Union and NATO. Only Ukraine’s integration into the Euro-Atlantic space guarantees all of us peace and security, guarantees Ukraine independence and guarantees Ukrainian people rise in living standards," Poroshenko said while delivering the annual address to the Verkhovna Rada on the internal and external situation of Ukraine, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.
As reported, on September 3, President Poroshenko registered in the Verkhovna Rada the draft law No. 9037 on the amendments to the Constitution of Ukraine on the strategic course of the state for gaining full membership of Ukraine in the European Union and in the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
