People all over the world paid tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. Day: a federal holiday in the U.S. that marks the birthday of the civil rights icon.
January 18 is also recognized as National Day Of Service, which has turned out to be the largest day of charitable service in the Unites States since it was founded in 2002 as a way to transform 9/11 into a day of unity, empathy and service. And now, with the COVID-19 pandemic still raging, actress and director Elizabeth Banks took time out on the holiday to pay tribute to all people risking their lives on the front lines.
