Adele has broken her Twitter silence, having not posted to the micro-blogging site since December 31 2018.
The Chasing Pavements songstress, 31, sent fans into a frenzy on Tuesday, believing she was making a rare social media appearance to announce new music. But the star took to her page simply to urge her fans to vote in the UK's general election - which is being held on 12 December, with voting taking place between 7AM and 10PM. A list of the candidates standing [Statement of Persons Nominated] will be posted on local authority websites imminently. Adele's tweet, however, led fans to remark, 'Where is the album?' and, 'This notification gave me a heart attack!' Another parodied her post by replying: 'Don’t forget to Release the Album before we die of thirst Adele ✔️' 'I thought it was music related... b***h we miss you!' another remarked, as someone else tweeted: 'Ma‘am we need an album!'
