The Pulitzer Prizes were handed out during a luncheon at Columbia University on Tuesday, and attendees were treated to a surprise performance by Jennifer Hudson.
The 37 year old singer made the surprise appearance to sing the Aretha Franklin classic Amazing Grace, to honor the late singer, who passed away in August. The Pulitzer Prizes announced in April that Franklin would be given a posthumous citation, 'for her indelible contribution to American music and culture for more than five decades.'
