Russian-backed militants launched 17 attacks on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in ATO area in Donbas in last day.
This is reported by the ATO Headquarters press center - Ukrinform. "Over the past day, illegal armed groups violated the ceasefire 17 times. The Ukrainian Armed Forces opened fire on the enemy 10 times. As a result of fighting, one Ukrainian soldier was killed," the statement reads. The tensest situation was observed in Donetsk direction, where illegal armed formations used different types of mortars and infantry weapons to launch attacks on the defenders of Vodiane (16km north-west of Donetsk), Pavlopol (30 km northeast of Mariupol) and Chermalyk (31km north-east of Mariupol). ATO troops also came under 120mm mortar fire outside Talakivka (20km north-west of Mariupol). In addition, militants fired 82mm mortars and grenade launchers on Ukrainian positions near Avdiivka (18km north of Donetsk) and Novotroitske (32km south of Donetsk). In Luhansk direction, the enemy opened fire from grenade launchers outside Novhorodske (34km north of Donetsk), from weapons on infantry fighting vehicles near Luhanske (59km north-east of Donetsk) and from heavy machine guns near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk) and Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk).
