U.S. Vice President Joe Biden stressed the need to eradicate corruption in Ukraine.
Joe Biden said this after the meeting with Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, UNIAN reports.
"The state leadership must fulfill the promises, justify the sacrifices made during the Maidan protests two years ago... Eradicating of corruption is very important step for this second chance to create the democratic society," he said.
To this end, further cooperation with the IMF and the international community must be ongoing, the U.S. Vice President believes.
In this context, according to Biden, Ukraine should cooperate with the international community and comply with the obligations under the program of cooperation with the IMF.
