USAID to continue supporting film industry in Ukraine despite pandemic

USAID to continue supporting film industry in Ukraine despite pandemic
19 of November 2020 г.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) will help improve the competitiveness of the film industry in Ukraine and help Ukrainian partners survive the crisis amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

Karén Isahakyan, a representative of USAID's Competitive Economy Program (CEP), said this at the 4th international forum "Creative Ukraine," which takes place on November 19-20, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“The film industry in Ukraine has great potential. And our task is to help it overcome the current challenges so that the industry becomes stronger and more competitive,” a USAID representative said.

He noted that despite the crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic, USAID will continue to search for new partners and work in new realities.

“We look forward to deepening cooperation with the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine, the private sector, as well as with other public authorities, in order to promote the development of film production in Ukraine,” he said.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, Ukraine is hosting the 4th international forum "Creative Ukraine". The participants of the event consider the current state and prospects of creative industries in Ukraine.
