Kharlan wins gold medal at European Fencing Championships

Olympic champion Olha Kharlan has won a gold medal in the women's saber event at the European Fencing Championships 2019, which started in Dusseldorf, Germany, on June 17.

In the final game of the saber tournament, Kharlan defeated France's Manon Brunet 15-12, Ukrinform reports.

This is the eighth European championship title for the Ukrainian, six of them being individual.
