“In the zone of action of tactical force ‘East’, Russian-led forces opened fire from 82mm mortars on Ukrainian troops near Marinka (23km south-west of Donetsk); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns, automatic small arms and sniping weapons – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol); grenade launchers of different systems, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Pavlopol (25km north-west of Mariupol); heavy machine guns and small arms – near Avdiivka (17km north of Donetsk) and Opytne (12km north-west of Donetsk),” the JFO Headquarters press center reports.

In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy used 82mm mortars, grenade launchers of different systems and small arms to shell Ukrainian positions near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk); automatic mounted grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, automatic small arms and sniping weapons – outside Katerynivka (64km west of Luhansk); hand-held antitank grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms – in the area of Zolote-4 (59km west of Luhansk); heavy machine guns and small arms – on the outskirts of Popasna (69km west of Luhansk)

One serviceman of the Joint Forces was killed, three defenders more were wounded.

The Joint Forces units adequately return fire in response to the enemy shooting. According to the intelligence, three invaders were annihilated and seven more were wounded on April 22. In addition, the Joint Forces members used antitank missile system to neutralize an enemy’s infantry fighting vehicle.

Today, the illegal armed formations have already launched one attack on positions of the Joint Forces near Hnutove, using 120mm mortars, mounted antitank grenade launchers and heavy machine guns.

No casualties among Ukrainian servicepersons have been reported.

The Joint Forces reliably control the enemy on the contact line, adhering to the ceasefire regime.
