 NewsRSSRussian-led armed formations fire 100 mortars into Ukrainian troops

Russian occupation forces launched nine attacks, using weapons banned under the Minsk agreements and firing a total of 100 mortars, on positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in Donbas over the past day.
“In the zone of action of tactical force “East”, invaders used 120mm and 82mm mortars to shell Ukrainian positions near Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk); 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns – outside Hnutove (20km north-east of Mariupol),” the press center of the JFO Headquarters reports. In the zone of action of tactical force “North”, the enemy fired 120mm mortars on Ukrainian defenders near Novooleksandrivka (65km west of Luhansk), Novozvanivka (70km west of Luhansk) and Vilne (70km south-west of Donetsk); 120mm mortars and automatic mounted grenade launchers – near Novoluhanske (53km north-east of Donetsk); 120mm and 82mm mortars, weapons on infantry fighting vehicles and heavy machine guns – in the area of Popasna (69km west of Luhansk); 82mm mortars and heavy machine guns - near Lobacheve (17km north-west of Luhansk); automatic mounted grenade launchers and small arms – outside Krymske (42km north-west of Luhansk). One Ukrainian serviceman was wounded in shelling in last day. Today, the enemy has already opened fire from 120mm mortars near Lebedynske (16km east of Mariupol) and Vodiane (94km south of Donetsk). No casualties among Ukrainian defenders have been reported. According to the intelligence, two invaders were killed and another one was wounded.
