Instead of implementing the Minsk agreements, the Russian Federation is blocking diplomatic progress through ‘sham elections’ in Donbas, U.S. Special Representative for Ukraine Negotiations Kurt Volker has said.
The U.S. Embassy in Ukraine posted this on Twitter on November 11. “Instead of implementing Minsk and moving towards peace for Ukraine, Russia is subsidizing corrupt leaders of Donbas, training and equipping the illegal armed formations, institutionalizing the status quo through sham ‘elections,’ and blocking diplomatic progress,” the U.S. Embassy in Ukraine cited Volker as saying. He also said that “Russia incorrectly claims Ukraine has failed to implement the Minsk agreements. The reality is the opposite.” Thus, since September 2014, Russia has failed to fulfil a range of commitments under the Minsk agreements, said Volker. Отправить в:      другие новости
