And on Tuesday, Kate Winslet attended a New York screening for the drama, which co-stars Idris Elba. Director Hany Abu-Assad also attended, and the two engaged in a Q&A with Entertainment Weekly writer Jeff Labrecque. The actress chatted about the film's premise, and told of how it mirrored her own real-life love story. 'The Mountain Between Us is about two complete strangers who end up chartering a small aircraft, which crashes and the story is about how they have to survive and they ultimately fall in love,' she began.
