And the Wham! star's life was revisited in a Channel 5 documentary aired on Thursday night, titled The Last Days Of George Michael, which saw his neighbours, former associates and high profile journalists look back on the music icon's illustrious career and tumultuous personal life.

Thousands tuned in to the documentary, which began trending on Twitter - but one person who wasn't watching was George's ex-bandmate Andrew Ridgley.
