And now her little sister Noah, 17, is defending the former Hannah Montana star, 24 - who first shocked after twerking up against Robin Thicke in 2013 - encouraging her to keep at it.

The rising songstress, who has just signed a lucrative deal with Sony, told The Sun: 'I’m like, "Go girl, get it, do your thing, shake it."'

Miley initially rose to stardom as the protagonist in the Disney channel series, which saw her lead a double life as a singer and regular school girl, in 2006.

After the popular show culminated in 2011, the Tennessee native re-branded herself as a performer - the results of which culminated in a raunchy duet with the Blurred Lines singer at the Video Music Awards in 2013.
