The Black Sea Basin countries have determined the status of seaports located on the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as "closed."
This decision was adopted by the committee of the memorandum of understanding on the state control of the ports in the Black Sea region, the press service of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine reports. "The committee of the memorandum of understanding on the state control of the ports in the Black Sea region, the nineteenth meeting of which was held on April 17-19, 2018 in Odesa, supported the proposal of the Ukrainian delegation to bring the names of Ukrainian seaports in the Black Sea information system in line with the names defined in the UN/LOCODE. The corresponding task was included in the Committee’s action plan. Apart from the correct names of the Ukrainian seaports, the document defines the status of the seaports located in the territory of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea as "closed." The adoption of the document PSCC 19/9.2.3 by the Committee of the Black Sea Memorandum is the recognition of the ‘closed’ status of the Crimean ports. This is another step towards prevention of the violation of the sovereignty of Ukraine and protection of interests of the state at the international level," reads the statement. Отправить в:      |
